NAPFA to Assist Members in Meeting New "Fiduciary Advisor" Standards The Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA) attempts to increase the level of consumer protection from dishonest financial service providers. It stipulates that only 'Fiduciary Advisers' may provide advice to participants in qualified retirement plans, and recognizes the importance of a fiduciary standard in the financial industry. NAPFA is providing training to help its members remain qualified to meet these requirements. Read more.

WTOP radio hosts Bob Leins and Tammy Flanagan welcomed RPS, Inc. president Jerry Cannizzaro for an interview about Financial Planning on the popular Metropolitan Washington, D.C. radio station.

Mr. Cannizzaro's appearance followed interviews earlier in 2006 by the business television network CNBC, and for an article that was to be published in The Baltimore Sun.
